6. General Terms and Conditions of Sale
Payment Terms
The client has the right to choose their payment method, either in cash or electronically. No payment method can be exclusively imposed to the detriment of these rights.
Fees are due at the time of the provision of veterinary care, unless otherwise expressly agreed with the practitioner.
Late Payment – Reminders and Fees
In case of immediate non-payment, a first free reminder will be sent to the client.
If payment is not made within a period of 14 calendar days following the dispatch of this reminder, late payment interest may be applied, as well as a fixed indemnity, calculated in accordance with the limits provided by legislation:
- €20 for any debt less than or equal to €150,
- €30 plus 10% of the amount due between €150.01 and €500,
- €65 plus 5% of the amount due above €500.
Any additional reminder may incur fixed administrative fees, up to a maximum of €7.50, plus applicable postal charges.
Cancellation Conditions
For the emergency service, any planned consultation not cancelled within 15 minutes following the client's call will result in a fixed booking fee equivalent to 50% of the rate announced during the call, as a veterinarian is mobilized upon appointment booking.
For the Medical Imaging service, any planned consultation not cancelled within 24 hours prior to the appointment will result in a fixed indemnity equivalent to 50% of the agreed rate, as a veterinarian is dedicated to the examination from the time of booking.
Complaints
Any complaint relating to a service performed must be submitted by registered mail within 15 days after the date of intervention.
Jurisdiction
Any dispute relating to a veterinary service will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, and notably the justice of the peace of the third canton of Brussels.
